New FAO, GDP, GASL & IFCN Publication on “Dairy’s Impact on Reducing Global Hunger”
IFCN has contributed together with the UN Food and Agriculture Organization, the UN Global Agenda for Sustainable Livestock and the Global Dairy Platform (GDP) in publishing the second research paper in a series on the question how dairy can help address socio-economic challenges set out in the UN 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals.
Dairy can solve two Sustainable Development Goals: Poverty Reduction (SDG1) & Zero Hunger (SDG2)
The second paper “Dairy’s Impact on Reducing Global Hunger” displays the role of dairying in tackling SDG2 – Zero Hunger by presenting a quantitative evidence how dairy reduces the negative results of malnutrition.
The first research paper in the series “Dairy Development’s Impact on Poverty Reduction” examines how dairy can be able to lift rural population out of poverty.
