What Dairy Farm Efficiency Means in Practice
On the final day, we explored how this works on real farms:

• Precision feeding: Matching feed and protein more closely to each cow’s needs can maintain milk performance while reducing nutrient losses.
• Nutrition, genetics, and management: Combined with better farm data, these help dairy farms produce more value with fewer resources.
• Beyond milk output: Efficiency also means making better use of labour, protecting farm profitability, and building dairy systems that can adapt over time.

There is no single model that works for every farm or every region, and a system that is efficient today may not be the right one tomorrow. Real progress comes from balancing environmental, economic, and social priorities, and turning reliable dairy data into practical action.
