Data isn’t merely about numbers; it’s a wellspring of growth, innovation, and the security of dairy farming’s future. It’s a testament to the remarkable possibilities at the intersection of technology and agriculture, guiding us towards a brighter, more productive dairy industry.

On September 20th, we held our monthly researcher meeting, and IFCN Mexican researcher Rigoberto Becerra spoke to us on “Dairy Farms comparison in Mexico”:

  • 2022 was a very tough year for the dairy farmers in Mexico, many small and medium size farms went out of business.
  • High feed cost and the severe drought we are having in Mexico since last year is not helping.
  • Beginning of 2023 situation improved a little, due mainly to a strong Mexican Peso, so grains used in concentrates got cheaper, however, dairy farmers are worried since the demand for milk is not looking good.

Our next webinar, which will be held on October 25th and presented by our expert from Zimbabwe Paidamoyo Patience Chadoka and from Tanzania Enock Magoke Ndaki, is open to our research partners.

Please contact Shiyin Zhong, our research network manager, if you would like to join the IFCN Dairy Research Network. To make the dairy industry’s future more promising, we look forward to working with you.
