The International Livestock Research Institute

The International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) works for better lives through livestock in developing countries. ILRI is co-hosted by Kenya and Ethiopia, has 14 offices across Asia and Africa, employs some 700 staff and has an annual operating budget of about USD 80 million.

The U.S. Dairy Export Council (USDEC)

The U.S. Dairy Export Council (USDEC) is a non-profit, independent membership organization that represents the global trade interests of U.S. dairy producers, proprietary processors and cooperatives, ingredient suppliers and export traders. Dairy Management Inc. founded USDEC in 1995 and, through the dairy checkoff program, is the organization’s primary funder. USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service provides export activity support, and membership dues fund the Council’s trade policy and lobbying activities.

The Johann Heinrich von Thünen Institute

The Johann Heinrich von Thünen Institute is a German Federal Research Institute for Rural Areas, Forestry and Fisheries, founded in 2008, under the auspices of the German Ministry of Food and  Agriculture. The Thünen Institute comprises 14 institutes within three main research areas: Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries. They aim to find ways to develop sustainable uses of natural resources for policymakers and society through an interdisciplinary approach between economy, ecology, and technology.

The Polish Chamber of Milk

The Polish Chamber of Milk is the largest organisation of the dairy industry in Poland, established on the initiative of dairy cooperatives, facilities and companies associated with dairying. It brings together Poland’s largest milk producers and processors and is also a strategic partner of national and EU insti­tutions as well as government agencies working for the development of dairy sector.
